Legendary Design, Many Upgrades. Perfect for Racing and Cruising.
The Gemini 3000 catamaran is a masthead sloop rig. The boat's knowledgeable owner has maintained the standing and running rigging. New LED spreader lights and new spreader end caps were recently installed. Running rigging has recently been replaced, as needed, and the system has been upgraded with Schaefer infinitely adjustable jib cars and main sail traveler systems. The head sail is a 115 Genoa that is 3 years old and on a roller furling. Self-tailing winches, updated to 40s, have been added to make sail trim easier. The main sail is 5 years old.
The 43-year-old hull is in nice shape. Twin mahogany dagger boards can be raised to give the boat a shoal draft of just 18". Perfect for some of the shallow bays on the east coast. They crank down for a max draft of 4' 9". The Honda outboard is mounted to a plate so it can be raised out of the water while sailing to eliminate drag. It can also be steered with the rudders to help with docking.
Inside, there are two separate cabins for sleeping. Two staterooms and a galley along the starboard side. The master stateroom, storage and a head to port. In the center, there is a large dinette and a nav station.
While we will always attempt to provide you with a TRUE representation of every vessel we market, during any purchase from Pop you will be encouraged to schedule an inspection from an independent, accredited surveyor and every purchase WILL ALWAYS BE subject to your satisfaction with the results from your independent survey and your own personal trial run.
Condition:
Hull and rigging are in nice condition. The rigging has been maintained as needed and upgrades have been done. The electronics include a VHF, GPS, and autopilot, all of which are older but in working order. The interior is in usable condition, and the boat is ready to sail.
