Description
This Duncan has now been on the market a couple months. Looking for any offers!

Fully-equipped 52 ft cruiser, many updates, Still needs a bit work to be complete. (See Condition of Unit Section)

This William Garden-designed Porpoise 52 ketch is a classic bluewater cruiser built by Duncan Marine, with a 2" fiberglass hull that provides strength, comfort, and the freedom to roam.

With an overall length of 52 feet, a beam around 14', a 6' draft, and heavy-displacement construction around 50,000 lbs, this vessel was designed for confident offshore cruising and steady handling in a variety of conditions.

Powered by an 80 HP Ford Lehman diesel, the boat is well suited for passagemaking, while the full-keel design and masthead ketch rig offer the kind of secure, traditional sailing experience that inspires long weekends, coastal escapes, and extended time aboard.

Recent upgrades include a fiberglass deck replacing the teak deck, 2022 H2O sails for the main, mizzen, and headsail, a 1000w solar system with charge controllers, inverters, and 12v AGM batteries.

Additional cruising features include four anchors, a Raymarine radar, kitchen appliances including a gas stove, microwave, and induction stove, and a 50" Sony Bravia TV installed in 2023.

This Porpoise 52 offers the ideal blend of classic craftsmanship, modern equipment, and self-sufficient living for the sailor looking to enjoy life on the water in a truly impressive yacht.

While we will always attempt to provide you with a TRUE representation of every vessel we market, during any purchase from Pop you will be encouraged to schedule an inspection from an independent, accredited surveyor and every purchase WILL ALWAYS BE subject to your satisfaction with the results from your independent survey and your own personal trial run.

Condition:
This 1972 Duncan Porpoise Ketch presents an impressive project vessel with several valuable upgrades already in place and more components included to complete the build.

It features recent 35" tall stanchions with white safety lines for added deck safety, along with updated electric sailing winches to enhance handling and ease of operation. Per the seller, there should be enough running rigging aboard to run lines back to the cockpit.

A davit system and roller furling setup are included and ready for installation, offering excellent potential for expanded functionality.

The electrical system is partially completed, with main boards installed and awaiting final connections.

Interior work is underway, with some areas requiring paint to finish over newly installed plywood, and brand-new cabin windows included and ready to be fitted.

The head compartment is mid-refit, with the sink and counter installed but needing paint, and the toilet currently disconnected from the macerator.

The fuel in the tank has been sitting and will need to be filtered or replaced.

The vessel was last hauled out in 2015 for bottom paint, making it a great opportunity for a buyer looking to complete and customize a classic ketch to their standards.

Per the seller, everything aboard the boat that you see in the photos was purchased to move forward with completing the project and bringing the boat back to its glory.
