The 2007 Dutch Star 4023 has a powerful 400 HP Cummins diesel, four slides, and ample living space!
The 2007 Newmar Dutch Star 4023 is a luxury diesel pusher built for travelers who appreciate the difference between simply owning a motorhome and traveling in a true residential-style coach.
At about 40 feet 8 inches long and riding on Newmar's Spartan Mountain Master GT chassis with independent front suspension, the 4023 combines substantial construction, a spacious quad-slide floorplan, and the power of a Cummins ISL 400-horsepower diesel engine. A two-stage engine compression brake, hydraulic leveling system, polished aluminum wheels, and a 10,000-pound-rated towing hitch add to this coach's capability on the road and at the campsite.
One highlight of the 4023 is its four-slide layout. With the slides extended, the interior opens into an impressive living space with opposing front slides and additional slides in the bedroom. The floor plan provides a generous main living area with sofa seating, a freestanding dinette, abundant overhead cabinetry, and the open feel expected from a high-end diesel coach. Newmar equipped the Dutch Star with hardwood cabinetry, residential-style full-extension drawer guides, padded vinyl ceilings, day/night shades, and deluxe carpeting, while solid-surface Corian countertops bring a residential finish to both the kitchen and bathroom areas.
The kitchen is designed for extended travel rather than occasional weekend use. The 4023 floor plan provides a large solid-surface countertop with an undermount sink and flush sink covers, a three-burner cooking area, convection microwave, refrigerator, pantry storage, and extensive cabinetry. Directly across the coach, the freestanding dinette creates a comfortable place for meals, morning coffee, or simply spreading out with a laptop while traveling. The opposing slides and thoughtful placement of the kitchen and dining areas give this coach a remarkably residential feel.
Moving toward the rear, the 4023 offers a particularly attractive bath arrangement. An angled 38-by-38-inch shower provides considerably more room than the small shower stalls found in many coaches, while the floorplan incorporates separate vanity and lavatory areas and a private toilet compartment. The arrangement lets you use different areas of the bath independently and separates the living area from the rear bedroom. Newmar's polished Corian bathroom surfaces, residential cabinetry, and generous storage continue the coach's upscale character.
The rear bedroom is designed as a genuine private retreat. The 4023 floorplan features a 60-by-80-inch queen bed positioned in its own slide, allowing additional walking space when extended. Opposite the bed is another slide with a chest of drawers and a television/storage area, while the rear wall features a large wardrobe with sliding mirrored doors. Dedicated washer/dryer cabinetry is also incorporated into the rear of the coach, making this floorplan particularly well suited to extended trips, seasonal travel or full-time RV living.
Comfort was clearly a priority in the Dutch Star. The 40-foot models came from the factory with dual Penguin heat-pump central air-conditioning systems, ducted heating, insulated double-pane tinted safety-glass windows, and substantial electrical capability.
The coach was designed around 50-amp service, a 2,000-watt inverter and a four-battery house bank, while a diesel generator provides independent electrical power when traveling or camping away from hookups.
Newmar also equipped the Dutch Star with conveniences such as power awnings, slide-out awning covers, large heated remote-control exterior mirrors, a one-piece windshield and extensive lighted exterior storage.
From the full-body Newmar Masterpiece Finish and substantial exterior storage to the spacious four-slide interior, the 2007 Dutch Star 4023 represents the kind of construction and floor plan that helped establish Newmar's reputation in the luxury diesel-pusher market.
For a buyer looking for a substantial diesel coach without stepping into the price range of a newer luxury motorhome, this Dutch Star 4023 offers an appealing combination of Cummins diesel power, Spartan chassis construction, four-slide living space and Newmar craftsmanship.
Its large residential-style interior, private rear bedroom, generous bath arrangement, washer/dryer provision, substantial storage, and capable chassis make it a coach equally at home on a weekend getaway, a cross-country adventure, or an extended stay.
While we will always attempt to provide you with a TRUE representation of every RV we market, during any purchase from Pop you will be encouraged to schedule an inspection from an independent, accredited inspector and every purchase WILL ALWAYS BE subject to your satisfaction with the results from your independent inspection and your own personal test drive.
Condition:
This 2007 Newmar Dutch Star 4023 presents very well for its age and appears to have benefited from careful ownership, protected storage, and consistent maintenance. The current owner is the second owner.
It is currently stored under a roof. The coach is reported to have never been smoked in, and no pets have been kept inside under either ownership.
The maintenance history is one of this coach's strongest assets. A substantial collection of maintenance and service records dating back to the original purchase accompanies the RV. These records are available for review by a serious buyer after an offer is made.
The coach received a comprehensive preventive maintenance service on August 4, 2026, at 69,531 miles. This service reportedly included engine oil and filter service, replacement of the fuel filter and fuel/water separator, and chassis lubrication.
The chassis batteries were replaced in April 2026, and all four coach batteries were replaced in September 2026.
The 7.5 kW Onan generator was serviced in May 2023 at 309 hours and reportedly has accumulated only approximately 15 to 20 hours of operation since that service.
Additional maintenance includes a roof inspection and resealing completed in July 2021. The slide-outs were also lubricated and adjusted at that time.
The refrigerator and inverter were both reportedly replaced in 2017.
The tires carry 2021 date codes.
The exterior presents very well for a 2007 coach and reflects its history of protected storage. Some glare and reflections are visible in the listing photographs due to the highly reflective exterior finish and the lighting conditions where the coach was photographed.
The interior is in excellent visual condition considering the age of the coach. The cabinetry, furnishings, flooring, fixtures, appliances, and living areas appear to have been cared for rather than subjected to years of heavy use.
A towing system, including a tow bar and associated equipment currently with the coach, will be included with the sale. A buyer intending to tow a particular vehicle should expect to supply or configure any vehicle-specific baseplate, wiring, braking equipment, or other components necessary to properly match their vehicle to the included towing equipment.
Overall, this 2007 Newmar Dutch Star 4023 appears to be an exceptionally well-kept example for its age, with the added benefit of extensive maintenance documentation and a history of protected storage.
As with any pre-owned motorhome, particularly a diesel coach with multiple mechanical, electrical, plumbing, chassis, and house systems, buyers should not rely solely upon a visual assessment or seller representations. A professional third-party RV inspection and, when appropriate, a qualified chassis and drivetrain inspection are strongly recommended before completing the purchase.
