Description
This Hatteras has now been on the market more than a month. Please submit your offer today!
Proven Fishing Machine!!! Powered with Cummins Diesels!!! Ready to catch fish!!!
This classic 45 Hatteras is a legendary fishing platform. The boat has been set up for hardcore fishing and has ample accommodations for family or crew.
The spacious cockpit has been updated with a Coosa deck, Coosa mezzanine, and Coosa drink box. Two massive live wells are plumbed on both sides of the fighting chair. A massive fish box was made in the transom and is plumbed to make an additional live well. Large spray rails were installed by Merrit's boat yard.
There are plenty of heavy-duty rod holders on the gunwales, rod holders on the back of the chair, rod holders on the lower tower legs, and rod holders on the bridge.
The massive tower built by Pipe Welders will provide plenty of visibility from the bridge or the second station. The outriggers can make a very wide spread, and the bridge has teaser reels.
Electronics consist of a working VHF and Simrad MFD. The boat is primarily fished a few miles from land and catches plenty of fish, so the seller did not see a need to upgrade electronics.
The salon is very roomy. There is a long L-shaped sofa and two chairs for comfort. The salon is nice and cool, as there is a newer AC unit. There is a bait freezer and a cabinet used for tackle.
The galley is down with a forward stateroom with two berths and a large stateroom with a private entrance to the head.
The most notable upgrade to the boat has been the upgrade to Cummins 480 horsepower engines paired with ZF transmissions, with dripless logs.
The boat has great bones and has been updated to last for decades.

Condition:
The boat looks presentable for its age. The grey hull sides show well. The cockpit was clean and looked well-maintained. The cockpit is very functional but may show minor finishing flaws. The cockpit deck is solid, and the fish box, live wells, and fighting chair look to be in nice condition.
The foredeck and rub rail show minimal wear and tear. The side windows frames were recently repainted, there is a cracked starboard window, and the laminate in the safety glass has delaminated.
The salon was cool and had no old boat smells. The furniture shows character and is still usable. The flooring looks to be in nice condition. There is evidence that the windows were leaking. The interior wood trim shows water stains. The headliner looks original.
The galley is clean and equipped with a microwave, stovetop, oven, sink, and refrigerator. The original flooring is on the lower level and shows some damage; however, no soft spots were present.
The cabins show their expected age but are still in good, usable condition. The head was clean with no mildew or smells.
The bridge shows its age and is in functional condition. The isenglass is clear, but some zippers need stitching. The captain's chair and cushions are worn but still functional. VHF and Simrad MFD are in good working condition. The seller discloses the port multifunction gauge for the engine is not working.
The top of the bridge looks to be in good condition. The pipes and outriggers look to be in good condition with normal oxidation. The upper station is functional, the back cushion has wear, and the controls are missing knobs.
Seller discloses, sump pump and shower are not working, windlass is not working. Radar and autopilot are not working. The freshwater tank leaks when filled past 50 gallons. Some breakers in the panel need replacing.
The engine room appeared to be bright, clean, with no smells, leaks or excessive corrosion. It looks well maintained. The engines look to be in nice condition with minor corrosion. The fire suppression system is not working. The generator looks to be in good condition. The seller also made the rudder shelf out of Coosa board and installed dripless logs.
