Description
transportation assistance available Amazing bluewater cruiser, updated bottom paint, Yanmar diesel, original manual with boat
The 2004 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54DS (Deck Salon) is a beautifully designed bluewater cruiser that blends performance sailing with exceptional comfort and livability. Built by the renowned French builder Jeanneau and designed by Jacques Fauroux, the 54DS was created for sailors who want serious offshore capability combined with the luxury of a floating home.
There is a great opportunity to put yourself in a great position to secure a world-class vessel, as the seller is open to offers to help you offset the cost of transporting the boat.
One of the most distinctive features of the 54DS is its raised deck salon, which features panoramic windows that fill the interior with natural light and provide excellent visibility from the main salon. The result is an open, airy living space rarely found in traditional sailboats. Rich wood cabinetry, elegant finishes, and thoughtful craftsmanship give the interior a warm and upscale feel.
The spacious main salon offers comfortable seating, a large dining table, and a welcoming gathering space for family and guests. The fully equipped galley provides ample counter space, refrigeration, storage, and everything needed for extended cruising or entertaining aboard.
Accommodations are generous, with multiple well-appointed staterooms and private heads, making the boat ideal for cruising with family or hosting guests. The large owner's suite offers impressive space, storage, and comfort for long voyages or liveaboard living.
On deck, the 54DS features a wide, secure cockpit with comfortable seating, excellent sail handling controls, and an easy-to-manage layout for short-handed sailing. Wide side decks and solid handholds make moving around the boat safe and convenient while underway.
Performance-wise, the Sun Odyssey 54DS delivers the balance Jeanneau is known for - stable, responsive, and capable of serious offshore passages while still being easy to handle. The powerful rig, efficient hull design, and the Yanmar engine provide confidence whether coastal cruising or crossing oceans.
Additional highlights include air conditioning, generator, and ample storage for extended cruising.
Whether you're planning long-distance adventures, coastal cruising, or living aboard in comfort, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54DS offers an outstanding combination of sailing performance, luxury accommodations, and timeless design.
This is a rare opportunity to own a proven 54-foot cruising yacht that delivers both elegance and capability on the water.
While we will always attempt to provide you with a TRUE representation of every vessel we market, during any purchase from Pop you will be encouraged to schedule an inspection from an independent, accredited surveyor and every purchase WILL ALWAYS BE subject to your satisfaction with the results from your independent survey and your own personal trial run.
Condition:
The hull and bottom paint look good from recent repairs, and the bottom paint was done in 2025.
The seller says the generator was serviced in 2023 but has been used very little since and may need some attention.
All Raymarine electronics need to be replaced or updated, but the autopilot still works.
The boat is equipped with bow a thruster, but the seller says there is an issue with it only operating in one direction. Needs further inspection to determine the issue.
The top deck teak is faded and needs refinishing.
Masts and sail inventory are all in good condition, according to the seller. All rigging is serviceable, but this boat is worthy of upgrading in that area.
The main salon overhead forward windows need rework, as the gaskets and seals are worn. There was some water leakage that has been temporarily fixed with window taping, and there are some signs of water intrusion that appear to be mostly cosmetic inside, on the dinette and floor.
Plumbing fixtures in all the heads need replacing, but they still function and show some age-related wear.
Overall, the boat still shows very well, with mostly cosmetic issues needing to be addressed to return it to its former glory, but it appears to be a vessel worthy of effort on these minor fixes.
We recommend your personal or professional inspection after making an offer, before making your final decision to purchase.
Surveys can easily be done as the boat is on the hard, but no respalsh of the vessel will be done, so no water trials.
